MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BIOSTATISTICS
About
programme
A Master of Science in Biostatistics provides students with a rigorous understanding of statistical methods and their application in the fields of biology, medicine, and public health. This degree equips students with the tools to analyze complex biological and health-related data, enabling them to interpret trends, assess risks, and draw meaningful conclusions from scientific studies. By studying advanced statistical techniques, probability theory, and experimental design, students develop the ability to manage large datasets, account for variability, and apply statistical models to real-world problems. The program fosters a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making in healthcare, epidemiology, and public policy, and encourages critical thinking about the ethical and societal implications of data interpretation. Ultimately, an MSc in Biostatistics prepares students to contribute to advancing scientific knowledge and improving public health through informed, evidence-based research.
