DOCTOR OF AGRICULTURE IN SOIL SCIENCE
About
programme
A Doctor of Agriculture in Soil Science provides an in-depth, theoretical understanding of the complex processes that govern soil formation, structure, fertility, and health. This degree equips scholars with advanced knowledge of soil chemistry, physics, microbiology, and ecology, allowing them to explore the crucial role that soils play in sustaining ecosystems, agricultural productivity, and environmental health. A PhD in Soil Science fosters critical thinking about the interactions between soil, plants, and the environment, addressing key issues such as soil degradation, nutrient management, and sustainability. By advancing knowledge in areas like soil conservation, land management, and soil-water interactions, it contributes to the broader academic discourse on ensuring soil health and productivity, which is vital for food security and environmental sustainability.
