DOCTOR OF AGRICULTURE IN PASTURE SCIENCE
About
programme
A Doctor of Agriculture in Pasture Science provides an in-depth, theoretical understanding of the ecological, biological, and environmental factors that influence pasture growth, management, and sustainability. This degree equips scholars with advanced knowledge of plant biology, soil science, and animal grazing behavior, allowing them to explore the complex dynamics between pastures, livestock, and ecosystems. A PhD in Pasture Science fosters critical inquiry into sustainable land management practices, soil fertility, forage production, and the role of pastures in supporting food security and environmental health. By advancing research in areas such as pasture restoration, grazing systems, and biodiversity, it contributes to the academic discourse on maintaining healthy, productive pasturelands while addressing global challenges in agriculture, climate change, and resource management.
