DOCTOR OF AGRICULTURE IN AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION
About
programme
A Doctor of Agriculture in Agricultural Extension provides a deep, theoretical understanding of how agricultural knowledge, innovations, and practices are disseminated to farming communities and rural populations. This degree equips scholars with advanced insights into communication strategies, educational methodologies, and behavior change theories that enhance the adoption of agricultural technologies and improve farm productivity. A PhD in Agricultural Extension fosters critical thinking about the role of extension services in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, rural development, and food security. By advancing knowledge in areas such as agricultural education, rural sociology, and policy, it contributes to the broader academic discourse on bridging the gap between research and practice, ensuring that farmers and communities benefit from up-to-date knowledge and practices that can enhance their livelihoods.
