About
programme
A Doctor of Agriculture in Agricultural Economics provides an advanced, theoretical understanding of the economic principles and analytical techniques used to study agricultural systems, rural development, and food markets. This degree equips scholars with the tools to analyze the relationships between agriculture, policy, trade, and environmental factors, offering insights into how economic forces shape agricultural production, resource allocation, and food security. A PhD in Agricultural Economics fosters critical thinking about the economic challenges facing the agriculture sector, such as price volatility, sustainability, and global trade dynamics. By advancing knowledge in areas like rural economics, agricultural policy, and environmental economics, it contributes to the broader academic discourse on food systems, poverty alleviation, and economic development, providing a foundation for addressing complex global agricultural issues.
