Entry Requirements
What you need
A person shall not be admitted as a candidate for a bachelor honours degree or a
postgraduate diploma (NQF level8) unless he/she: (a) has successfully completed an
appropriate bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma (NQF level 7); or
(b) has successfully completed a similar higher education qualification at the
appropriate level on the NQF, and which, in the opinion of Senate, and in compliance
with the South African Qualifications Authority evaluation, is equivalent to or higher
than the examinations prescribed for a NQF level 7 qualification at the University; or
(c) has passed the examinations on the grounds of which he/she will be awarded a bachelor’s degree or equivalent NQF level qualification by the University. The above requirements should be read in conjunction with the University’s Policy and Rules on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Bursary Opportunities
NSFAS
The NSFAS bursary is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents with a combined household income of not more than R350 000 per annum before deductions. For persons living with disabilities, the combined household income is capped at

Funza Lushaka Bursary
Funza Lushaka is only applicable to those students that intend to enroll for the Bachelor of Education degrees. This funder enables eligible students to complete a teaching qualification in an area of national priority. COID Bursary
This is a scheme formulated by the Department of Labor in South Africa and addresses the Missing Middle students whose parents are earning more than R350 000 threshold. Students will be advised on when this funding becomes available so that they can submit their application.
