Xonné Muller is a lecturer in the Department of Human Movement Science at the University of Fort Hare. She began her career as a Kinderkineticist after completing her degree in Human Movement Science, specialising in Kinderkinetics, at North-West University (NWU). In 2015, she taught motor development as part of the Grades 1–3 school curriculum and served as the school’s Kinderkineticist, offering remediation sessions for children with motor discrepancies and learning disabilities. She later broadened her experience in private practice and entered higher education in 2019 as a lecturer. She also completed her Master’s degree in Human Movement Science with specialisation in Kinderkinetics. She also received a Teaching and Learning Award in 2023, in the e-Learning category, for her innovative and effective use of digital platforms in education. Currently pursuing a PhD through a cotutelle program between North-West University and the University of Stirling (Scotland). Xonné’s research focuses on pediatric movement, growth trends, body composition, and the effects of physical activity, fitness, gender, and socioeconomic status on child development and academic performance. She is passionate about holistic, multidisciplinary approaches that support early intervention and promote lifelong physical activity and well-being in children.
