Samantha Gay is a speech-language pathologist and lecturer with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), neurogenic speech disorders, and inclusive education. She completed her undergraduate degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Pathology at Stellenbosch University, earned a Master’s degree in AAC (with distinction) from the University of Pretoria, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Speech Therapy at Stellenbosch University. Her clinical experience spans hospital, school, and private practice settings, with a focus on complex communication needs, transdisciplinary teamwork, and inclusive service delivery. She is actively involved in undergraduate teaching, student research and clinical supervision, curriculum development, and community engagement. As an emerging researcher, her research interests include communication participation, early intervention, and the integration of AAC into educational and clinical practice.
