In its 105th year of existence, the University of Fort Hare has launched its first-ever Research Report. The publication focuses on the university's research strengths and areas of excellence during the 2019/2020 academic year. The 98-page report contains profiles of all our National Research Foundation (NRF)- Rated Research in the 2019/20 period. It also highlights the university's Centres of Research, University Journals, Research Niche, Areas, National Awards, Innovations, Internationalisation and Partnerships. It also lists the Research Output for the year 2020. ''We can also be proud of how our entire academic project showed remarkable resilience during this era of the COVID-19 pandemic. We missed a few steps at the outset until we migrated online, secured laptops for students who didn’t have them, provided data for all our academics and students, and got into our rhythm. The scholarly production of publications and postgraduates continued and our research enterprise managed to grow research funding throughout this period.'' Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Sakhela Buhlungu
