Njabulo is the founding chief executive of 2ND Avenue Capital (Pty) Ltd, an aggregator of companies with durable business models. He also serves on the Investment Committees of Summit Africa Private Equity, Khumovest Private Equity Fund I and Bigen Africa Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd. He is a board member of Sunfield Fortuna NPO, Michaelhouse College, Hugiano Healthcare (Pty) Ltd and the Fort Hare Foundation.
He was previously the managing director of BMFI a public investment holding firm with over R700 million under management. Under his leadership the firm grew net asset value by double-digit figures year-on-year. Prior to this he was a partner at Treacle Private Equity (Pty) Ltd, a private equity firm where he jointly managed and realized assets worth over R1.5 billion. He has been a senior venture capital deal maker at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and began his career at Deloitte, New York, as a senior associate in assurance.
His professional experience includes serving on boards of privately held and publicly traded entities across multiple industries including an assignment as an executive committee and board member of the Southern African Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (SAVCA), where he co-authored and negotiated the Private Equity codes with the Department of Trade and Industry.
