Dr Mirriam Ganiso is a lecturer in the Department of African Languages of Fort Hare University in South Africa. She lectures, Linguistics, Traditional Literature and Oral Literature

Research Interests: 

Her teaching and research areas include Oral Literature, isiXhosa Literature, Linguistics Traditional Literature, Literary theory, Sign Language and Second Language Teaching. Development of Sociolinguistics Sociocultural, Feminism, Structuralism and Psychoanalysis Theories.

Her interest is also in the interpretation of Sign Language and Language change.

Modules: 
Phonetics and Phonology Morphology Semantics Drama Short Stories and Essays Oral Literature and origin of modern isiXhosa literature.
