Dr Nombulelo Lubisi-Bizani holds a B Juris, LLB, LLM and LLD (UFH), Advanced Labour Law (UNISA), and various other certificates covering several competencies, such as Project Management, Financial Management, Leadership skills, Socio-economic Rights, Development and Human Rights, Assessment and Moderation, etc. She was admitted to practice as an advocate in 2005 and is currently working at Nelson R Mandela School of Law at the University of Fort Hare. Dr Lubisi is a former Dean: Faculty of Law (Nelson R Mandela School of Law). She joined University of Fort Hare in 2003. Before assuming the Deanship position, she was involved in various activities such as coordinating both internal and external Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions. Being a Head of Department, 2007 a coordinator Quality Assurance and 2011 coordinator of Law Foundation Programme and Faculty Community Engagement Champion and a Deputy Dean: Teaching & Learning and Community Engagement, and I acted as the Dean of Law. She taught various modules at undergraduate level, Law of Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Legal Research Methodology, Labour Law, Administrative Law, Advanced Constitutional Law, Advanced Administrative Law, Social Security Law, Bill of Rights, Constitutional Law and Labour Law. In 2007 she was invited as Research scholar at Rutgers Law School in the United States and participated in the Clerkship Exchange programme first established between the Constitutional Court of South Africa, the Federal Court and Rutgers Law School. Subsequently a visiting researcher at the Centre for Human Rights of Maastricht University, Netherlands. In 2005 she was appointed by the Minister of Justice to serve on an advisory committee of the South African Law Reform Commission’s Project 25 on Statutory Revision. In 2015 she was also appointed to serve on a committee of inquiry at the Bisho Legislature. She currently supervises and has co-supervised post-graduate students and has been an external examiner for LLB courses and LLM theses for various institutions. I had been requested to reviewed law journal articles for publications.
