Ms Asanda Mbolambi

Asanda Mbolambi is a lecturer in the Department of Mercantile Law. She joined the Department of Mercantile Law in October 2016 as a lecturer under the New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP). She later moved out of the nGAP and was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Mercantile Law in 2020. Before joining Fort Hare University in 2016, she lectured at Walter Sisulu University in 2011 where she taught Law of Insolvency and Law of Contract. She also worked for the National Prosecuting Authority as a Public Prosecutor in 2012 – 2016. She currently teaches Labour Law and Criminal Procedure (A & B). Ms Mbolambi is a doctoral candidate (LLD) degree in University of Fort Hare. Her doctoral topic is deals with aspects of business rescue provisions. She is also actively involved in research and postgraduate supervision. She attended and presented papers at nationally and internationally conferences. She acts as a peer-reviewer for various journals including South African Law Journal.
