Natural Sciences

We provide the platform for the students of Faculty of Health Sciences to bridge the gap between basic sciences & clinical practice to facilitate strong foundation for the application of clinical disciplines within the profession.
The courses offered in the Department of Natural Science include Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Chemistry & Biophysics and currently we have been teaching these courses to nursing students.
In the near future, we will be teaching students of Rehabilitative studies, Human movement science, Dental assisting and Emergency medical care.
The Department of Natural Science has been functioning at the University of Fort Hare ever since the establishment of Department of Nursing Science in 1983, initially under the Department of Nursing Science, in the recent past under the School of Health Sciences & now proudly under the Faculty of Health Sciences.
