Vision & Mission
The RAVAC aspires to function as a multi-dimensional centre focusing on the assessment of down-stream climate change risks and vulnerability and the effects thereof on food and water security and other related phenomena for Eastern Cape Communities
The RAVAC is dedicated to establish an effective network of skills and support system across disciplines as well to promote the purposeful involvement of academic, government institutions. RAVAC, with the National Atlas at its core, links national imperatives (global and climate change) with risk-prone rural communities, drawing local, national and international role players together around a single focus, i.e. food and water security and to create and provide further opportunities for teaching, research and community development and involvement.
