Dr Nomakaya Monde
Dr Nomakaya Monde is the Deputy Dean Teaching, learning and community engagement of the Faculty of Science & Agriculture and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics & Extension. Dr Nomakhaya Monde areas of expertise include livelihoods, household-level food security and poverty interventions. During the past five years, she worked as a senior research specialist at the Human Science Research Council (HSRC). She is currently involved in three major research projects, two of which are funded by the Water Research Commission (Water harvesting and conservation, as well as Best management practices for small-scale subsistence farming on selected irrigation schemes). The third project (Land Bank Chair) is funded by the Land Bank.
