 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

 

  • PhD in Educational Psychology
  • Undergraduate degree majoring in Philosophy and or Psychology
  • Professional Teaching Qualification
  • At least 10 years' teaching experience at tertiary level
  • Understanding of NCS and CAPS in Life Sciences and Natural Sciences

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

  • Lecturing Foundations of Education to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Participation and providing leadership in the design and review of curriculum in different education programmes
  • Supporting student teachers in School Experience/ Work Integrated Learning (Teaching Practice)
  • Undertake research for publication either individually or in collaboration with other academics
  • Initiating and participating in Community Engagement Projects
  • Research Supervision of postgraduate students
  • Raising research funds
  • Guiding and supervising postdoctoral fellows
  • Mentoring junior academics in research and supervision
