I obtained Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and History. Following this, I decided to take a break from studying and took the opportunity to travel the world. During my travels I taught abroad until 2005. After which time I returned to South Africa with the intention of continuing my studies and registered for an Honours degree in Psychology at the University of Fort Hare. It was here that I developed a passion for research.
A teacher at heart, I also have a keen interest in academic development. I joined the Teaching and Learning Centre as a Peer Facilitator and Supervisor in 2006 and was appointed as Placement and Access Test Coordinator in 2007. Since then I have become involved in Facilitation, Evaluation, Technology Enhanced Learning and Supplemental Instruction. My position in the Teaching and Learning Centre provides me with the unique opportunity to combine my passion for research with my interest in academic development.
