Adv Shandukani Muthugulu-Ugoda holds the LLB (Univen) and LLM (Univen) degrees. She is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa and has been a University of Fort Hare law lecturer since 2015. She started her teaching career at the University of Venda in 2007 where she taught commercial law, law of companies and close corporations and insolvency law. In 2009 she completed a short course, Curriculum and Material Design, with Regenesys Business School and Higher Education Assessor Development Course with Rhodes University in 2011. In 2012, Adv Shandukani Muthugulu-Ugoda received the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award at the University of Venda. She has presented papers in international conferences. Her area of interests is corporate and banking law, but over the nine years of her academic career she taught various branches of mercantile law, ranging from introduction to commercial law to company law. She is an LLD candidate at the University of Fort Hare.
