INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP

The courses are reviewed annually under the direction of a Departmental Advisory Board.   This Board is an independent body comprised of individuals who perform Information & Communication Technology (ICT) roles from various industries within the South African business sector. Members of the Board are prominent Information Technology practitioners and Chief Information Officers of leading national organisations who offer their time, expertise and guidance for the benefit of the development of young Information Systems professionals.

The purpose of the Board is to enable the Department to create a learning environment that is relevant and current. Therefore, the Board acts as a bridge between academia and industry and provides services to the Department that are tremendously valuable to learners. These include:

  • Internships and Industry Visits to Cape Town or Johannesburg
  • Value Added Lecture Series (Guest Lecturing)
  • Academic resources.
