Entry Requirements for a B.Com Degree

The entry requirements for the B.Com degree with Economics as a major are as follows:

• Minimum – 30 Swedish Points
• Mathematics – E (SG)
• English – E (SG)

Entry Requirements for a B.Econ Degree

An applicant for admission into the Bachelor of Economics degree must meet the following entry requirements:

• Minimum – 30 Swedish Points
• Mathematics – D (SG) or E (HG)

Entry Requirements for a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics

Applicants should have a Bachelors degree with economics as a major or minor subject from a recognized University or equivalent institutions. Candidates with satisfactory evidence of prior experiential /work related learning may be exempted from the normal admission requirements. Learners who do not have adequate economics back-ground must be ready to register for some under-graduate degree courses in order to qualify for direct entry to this course.

Entry Requirements for Honours

Learners wishing to pursue the Honours program would need to have attained a recognized degree with a good pass in Economics III. In cases where the minimum grade for Economics III is not achieved, consideration will be given to other qualifications and/ or experience. Learners are also required to have completed the Econometrics module in Economics III. In cases where the learner has not done Econometrics, it is recommended that they should take year three Econometrics as an additional module.  

Entry Requirements for Masters

Candidates are normally expected to have a good honours degree in Economics of this or any other recognized university or equivalent institution.
