• ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDY

B.Com degrees require a matriculation exemption with an E symbol for both   Mathematics and English at higher grade (HG) level.

• ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE B.COM(HONOURS) DEGREE PROGRAM

Learners who want to apply for the B.Com (Honours) degree need to adhere to the following requirements:

• Have Business Management as a major up to third year level;
• Attained a minimum average of 60% in the third year for the required academic modules;
• Attained a minimum average of 60% for Business Research, Research Methodology or a similar module at third year level; and
• Be present for an interview (inclusive of a writing assignment) on a date and time scheduled by the department.

• ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MASTER OF COMMERCE (M.COM) DEGREE

Learners who want to apply for the M.Com degree need to adhere to the following requirements:

• Have completed an honours degree in Business Management with a minimum average of 60%;
• Attained a minimum average of 60% for Business Research, Research Methodology or a similar module at honours (fourth year) level; and
• Be present for an interview (inclusive of a writing assignment) on a date and time scheduled by the department.

IT MUST BE NOTED THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO ENROLL AN APPLICANT WHO DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE MINIMUM REQUIREMETS STATED ABOVE. IT IS FURTHERMORE THE PREROGATIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE AVAILABILITY OF STAFF WHEN ENROLLING A SPECIFIC NUMBER OF STUDENTS FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED PROGRAMMES.
