SENIOR LECTURER: HUMAN MOVEMENT SCIENCES DEPARTMENT

ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO.: 8437

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Teaching motor learning and development undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Take a leading role in the development of a Kinderkinetic programme in the department
  • Take initiative in the development and establishing of a Kinderkinetics laboratory servicing the broader community
  • Conduct research in the field of Kinderkinetics and motor learning and development
  • Supervise postgraduate students research
  • Community engagement

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • PhD in Kinderkinetics with a strong background in motor learning and development
  • Registration as Kinderkineticist with SAPIK
  • 3 years’ or more experience in Kinderkinetics and teaching in a tertiary environment
  • Research skills and involvement in research projects in the field of Kinderkinetics or related fields. Proof of fundraising for research will be to your advantage
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Excellent language and communication skills in English
