FACULTY OF EDUCATION

RESEARCH PROFESSOR: DEAN’S OFFICE

EAST LONDON CAMPUS – REF NO: 8089

5 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

R 824 012 – R 1 026 820 p.a. (All-Inclusive package)


 

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned 5 year fixed-term contract position in the Faculty of Education:

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Publish at least five research papers in SAPSE accredited journals per year
  • Supervise at least five masters and three doctoral students within a period of five years
  • Attract research funding
  • Develop trans-disciplinary research niche areas
  • Promote a culture of research and publication among all academic staff

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • PhD in Education/ DEd
  • An impressive research and publication track record
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in teaching or research in the higher education sector
  • Evidence of successful postgraduate supervision and extensive research and publication track record

Included in the above remuneration is the company contribution to our compulsory pension fund, medical aid contributions, life cover and an optional annual bonus.
