FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE

PROFESSOR/SNR LECTURER/LECTURER:  DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

(RE-ADVERTISEMENT)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Teach Physics courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
  • Design and prepare study guides for above modules
  • Offer specific Modules
  • Supervise Research Projects in Renewable Energy Management
  • Community Engagement

 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • An MSc/PhD in Physics
  • Specialization in the following areas: Mechanics;  Solid State Physics Advanced Electromagnetism ; Mathematical methods for Physicists
  • A proven publication record in accredited journals
  • Experience in leading joint research projects
  • Good teamwork, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong language and communication skills
  • The ability to attract undergraduate and postgraduate students to the Department
  • For a professorship/Senior Lectureship post, the candidate should have a PhD in the relevant field, and a record of post-graduate supervision at Masters and PhD level, as well as evidence of previous research funding award.
