LECTURER: EDUCATION

EAST LONDON CAMPUS – REF NO: ML68

R 435 051 – R 540 620 p.a. (All-Inclusive package)


 

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the Faculty of Education:

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • To teach Educational Foundations and any Education Studies Module
  • Supervising postgraduate students.
  • Carry out research for publication
  • To provide leadership and contribute actively in research,
  • To engage in community outreach and collaborative activities.
  • To build capacity by mentoring student teachers and assessing them during school-based training.
  • To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based training

  

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Master of Education
  • A professional teaching qualification (Primary)
  • A Doctorate degree in Education will be an added advantage
  • A minimum of three to five years teaching at primary school level

Included in the above remuneration is the company contribution to our compulsory pension fund, medical aid contributions, life cover and an optional annual bonus.
