LECTURER: DEPARTMENT OF NURSING SCIENCE

EAST LONDON CAMPUS - REF NO: 8415

R 435 051 – R 540 620 p.a. (All-inclusive package)

 

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Health Sciences: 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • The candidate will be required to teach Modules In Nursing Science Department
  • Work towards leadership in curriculum design, development and implementation
  • Participate in normal administrative duties necessary for the smooth running of the Department of Nursing Science
  • Undertake Research individually or in collaboration with a team.
  • Participate in Community engagements/initiatives of the Faculty.
  • Participate in the Development of new modules/academic programmes and perform any other administrative/academic tasks assigned by the Faculty of Health Sciences
  • Take part in liaising with Stakeholders in different departments of both private and  public Departments of Health

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s  degree in related field
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council.
  • Three year’s teaching experience in Institute of Higher Learning
  • Three  year post Community Service
  • Experience of  Problem Based Learning  Methodology
  • Experience in Clinical Teaching, Supporting and Assessment
